Tr3Coast - Tr3Coast, Vol. 1 (Album)
Oh, you ain’t “Hip!” to the young gunners in the Tr3Coast? Let us change that for you. Consisting of several coast steppers in DarrylDinero, IggyPack!, Moseye, A.O.G. & Jeno, these youngin’s are hungry as ever & their latest collection of bangers showcases how eager they are to dominate the rap game with their knack for rapid fire lyricism over infectious instrumentation. Off rip, you know this tape is about to be scorching. Opening up with the lead single “Hip!”, which you can now see the music video for if you wish to put a face to all these elite spitters, these brothers don’t need to rely on hooks & all that extra shit to show how dope they are, they came here to rap & wax anybody who feels like they can compare to them from a skill standpoint, I mean the way they all bounce off on another on this intro, you know the chemistry is very much present. It’s bar overload & it does not stop there.
We love to see collectives that have a familial sense to them, these brothers are clearly all family outside of the studio & are simply having fun with the craft. Their ear for production is top notch so you know damn well they got the rhymes to match it. On “STMPNSHKN”, they crumble the ground the opposition is walking on & leave them falling down a sinkhole with their rhymes. Even the more subtle numbers like “Surplus Rax” find these MC’s rapping like their lives depended on it. Of course they here for the moolah, with skill like this, why wouldn’t you monetize it, this ain’t freestyle, it’s feestyle, pay up suckers! They do take the time to reflect on how much work they put in on “10k Hours”. They understand that there’s much more to this & are willing to put in more work than they already have to sustain what they got going on, it isn’t easy but it also isn’t impossible, it’s really nothing to them, they could do it in their sleep, leaving opponents sour over that “Lemon Belkin” as they enjoy the fruits of their labor.
How did they know I’m a sucker for alliteration on “Fiat Finessin’”? The production on this cut is zany as ever as they zip throughout it, playing the game the way they feel it should be played. They so “Off Da Skip” lyrically to be treating these beats like their own personal playgrounds or “ARCADE” if you will. By the time we’re done with this 40 minute tour de force of lyricism & rebellious fun, our heroes have reached their “FINAL FORM”, not a 3 headed monster but 5 heads, count it, 5! And this is only Vol. 1 so if we’re starting out this strong well then sky isn’t even the limit & there is no doubt in my mind that they are seriously about to take rap to exciting new levels!
