Le$ feat Freddie Gibbs - Chrome Lips (Video)
Right on the date of New Year's Eve, the first visual off Le$ “E30” album surfaced with Jorgey behind the lens for the Freddie Gibbs-featured record “Chrome Lips” that is having this Tavaras Jordan-produce hit come to life. The shot of the skyline view of Houston during day & night with the crisp looks of Le$ riding through the city is what we expected to see right off the back but with the enriching style presented in this viewing is what exceeding over expectations is all about.
The slick barrage of flows that Le$ is captivating right out the gate, especially with the shots in the driver seats to the photo looks of him & Freddie posted up together, brings out a whole new feel to the record. Miss him when it comes to the gossip; he’s not here for the chitchat. He’s getting paid & not any dues, so he’s seeing a bright side of life with days like this ahead for him. “I manifested mine while this Beemer cruise” can quickly sum up the project and this incredible record message with how Le$ prayed for days like these, and now that he’s here with success, he’s sharing the gems that got him where he’s at in hopes we take his learning and do the same for ourselves. Not too many artists will be that generous & some people will say that’s not enough to get to their destination, but dreamers like us will continue to keep our nose to the grindstone in hopes this work pays off in the end with wisdom like this. One of the most standout parts of this track is Freddie Gibbs, who starts off his verse with a bit of harmony before dishing out a fast-paced rhythm to his raps that is securing nicely among Le$ of being a vicious combination threat. The collaborative efforts of both artists are balanced so well in this record that I’m still hoping a project from the two is still in the works, and that’s something that appears later in the year.
“E30” could be an album of the year for 2021; it was the most talked-about project before releasing due to how prominent the features were, and when it dropped, the album was gifted with even more praise and support. I’m hoping to see more visuals from the project drop and maybe a tour with Le$ to see him back in the city, but until more is announced, we recommend if you haven’t set eyes to the video that you do that here while sharing it around on all social media avenues.
