Alesia Lani - I Don’t Mind (Video)
Since the 4th quarter of 2020, we hadn’t heard much from Austin native Alesia Lani since her Teeta-assisted record “What You Know About It” was released with views and support from many fans anticipating a follow-up to the release. We would go a whole year without music from Alesia but hoped that possibly a single or maybe an announcement would be made since she did frequently update her Instagram page with progression and growth that was occurring in her personal life. It was then, towards the ending weeks of 2021, we saw glimpses of what looked to be an upcoming release from her where on New Year’s Eve, Alesia announced that a new drop from her titled “I Don’t Mind” would be coming soon. We were waiting patiently for the finished product to surface since she started posting more previews of the release, including a BTS that showed promising looks of what we could be expecting from the final video. During the weekend, we received the date when the video would finally premiere. Days later, the finished product surfaced with many fans showing attention & praise that took over on release day, which continues to surpass expectations for many viewers and should for the remainder of the month.
This sassy 70’s inspired record is bought to life by videographer Seven The Shooter & Q B Smith behind the boards to lay down this crisp production for Alesia to showcase her euphonious vocals throughout this infectious ballad. She can sense your nervousness on you wanting to come up to her and confess your love; you better come correct when you approach this lady cause she ain’t here for no wasted time and certainly no bullshit. If your pull up, let her know; she’s not one to stay idle by, especially if you are playing games with her. Alesia mimics the unrelenting sexiness of Foxy Brown in the video of a woman who knows what she wants and doesn’t mind enduring a little patience but please don’t waste her time. The chorus is so soulful, especially the way it’s wrapped around the grooviness of the production that assists in bringing around the verse again to continue uplifting viewers to feeling a euphoric vibe when taking several peeks to the visual. It’s a creative structure from beginning to end with vast examples of artistry shown in a superior manner with a warm welcome back to Alesia Lani in a world that genuinely missed her art and is glad to have it back again.
I’m praying that a follow-up will be delivered in the upcoming months, no rush whatsoever since I guarantee this release will be in continuous rotation on this end. We need to know if there will be available on streaming sites soon. Until then, we recommend checking out the video here and sharing it around on all social media avenues.
