Tia’ Gold - Cry On Me (Single)
Tia Gold is back with another one of them ones & I thought “Answer” was great, it is, still very much so, but with “Cry On Me,” she really tugged on my heartstrings with it. It made me feel like the little child I still am at heart, scared & feeling alone in this world, searching for not only a purpose but a shoulder to cry on cause this life is a shaky one. I think we all just need that someone we can always turn to, a sanctuary we’re always welcomed in, with open arms. I’ve been pretty emotional lately, so I’m glad that Tia is here for me with this one; it’s a beautiful feeling actually to have that someone, though. Someone to battle through this life with, who’s there through thick & thin, but I’ll just live vicariously through the fervor she’s displaying here through her vocals & lyricism.
Every relationship has its ups & down’s but instead of us bickering with one another, tearing each other down, why can’t we just take a moment & cherish how much we actually all need each other. Let’s take a deep look into the souls of our partners & see the King & Queen in one another & if ever push comes to shove, let’s press back together. It’s a beautiful message & one I‘ve grown to acknowledge more, it’s one thing to dump onto another emotionally, but that can get toxic. We’re mature enough to vent & be vulnerable with one another; the world is already against us, so why would we risk exploring it together by fighting all the time when we can simply just express how we feel without the fear of judgment.
It hurts me to write a lot of this, but that just cause her words are so powerful, even in ruins, the love is an unbreakable bond. She lets her guard down so beautifully on this record; she feels at home with this person enough to do so, as I’m sure he feels the same way about her. If the day comes where she has to miss him, at least he can know that she’ll never lose him in vain, she’ll do everything in her power to make it work though; you can always count on her to give you her all, she sticks to her promises. There’s a remix to this impeccable single with Rocky Banks on it & also the stripped version, which is just as tearjerking, if not more, honestly. Still, I appreciate you getting these tears out of me, Tia’ Gold & encourage you all to let them out every once in a while, don’t hold back; lean on this beautiful music, courtesy of this incredible songstress!
