On the latest from Nashville-based frau, she's anxiously awaiting for a relationship to come to an end before it blows up in her face like a "pipebOmb." It's an infectious groove that you'll lose yourself in a trance to; I'm sure at one point or another, we've found ourselves in a relationship we couldn't wait to find a way out of; it can really cause the heart to incinerate. At the end of the day, all we want is for someone to love us for who we are, someone who respects every little facet of our individuality rather than a person who suffocates you with their own deep-seated issues they refuse to deal with.
Who knows where we go when it's all said & done but hopefully, it's somewhere more comforting than this. She's been through this charade too many times before; her heart has withstood as many blows as one can take. She's running out of time, the wire has been snipped & it's only a matter of time before it detonates. Her lyricism makes the song all the more explosive with emotion; she rather not indulge why she's imploding, but she's letting you know she is. Slowly but surely just, collapsing from within, these walls surrounding her are closing in & it's no longer safe. So she calls upon a savior to rescue her before she wounds up a casualty lying under the ruins, soon to crumble down on her.
Apparently, he wasn't discreet when it came to his deceit; she thought she had everything under control, but to watch it all fall apart in the blink of an eye is almost unbearable. She clearly loved this person, so for them to turn around & drop quite the bomb on her is just unfair, but she's eager to change the channel; this episode was never that good anyway. The visuals really bring the song more to life, simple yet have this angelic overtone about them. I don't understand why anybody would wish to harm someone who's clearly very exquisite & sure, she's taken a hit with what's been dropped onto her kingdom, but she's cool. Hopefully, her maintaining her elegance is enough to make him implode as well.
