Krizz Kaliko & Futuristic - Feelin’ Good (Single)

Krizz caught everybody by surprise when he announced his departure from Strange Music after two decades with the label & many many classics later at their Strange Music showcase back in, I wanna say May, it was titled "The Reveal" & since then, his been absolutely killing it on his own, as anybody would assume he would, he's that electrifying to stand on his own, now managing his own label with Earhouse, I'm excited to see where he takes it cause musically, he hasn't lost a step. It's still the same Kaliko flare we're used to & with Futuristic on the record as well, you just know they "Feelin' Good" about life, period.

Kali is past the point of explaining himself to people, especially promoters who refuse to acknowledge his worth. He even calls back to his previous first release through Earhouse with "Weight" when he comments on how he's been this size pretty much his entire life & needs a new wardrobe which he's popping in that fit. He's just laying it on thick with these summertime feels, despite all this COVID shit, which I'm sure a lot of us are still taking seriously but are possibly sick of it. I know I am personally & lately, ain't really been feeling good, it truly has changed a lot in my life personally, but I can fake happy like Kali.

I love the scene with the bacon smiling in the pan Kali is frying them in; bacon is good; I mean, who doesn't like it. I prefer mine extra crispy Kali, just so you know & man, Futuristic was the perfect choice for this fun-ass record. He keeps it simple; his day mainly consists of smoking all his weed, drinking all his liquor or beer, and eating up all the junk food. His wit is what cracks me up the most, "every day is a Hump Day, me & my lady just made a kid," hilariously wholesome & who falls asleep during "Knocked Up," none other than this guy cause that's such a good movie, I'd force myself to stay awake during that. Still, all in all, this is the perfect motivation when you just aren't feeling it one day. Let these two brighten your mood cause it surely helped, at the very least, crack a smile. Kali's music just does it for me; people really should tap into him some more. Even T-Pain, who he was on his podcast a while back, will tell you, Kali is an impeccable vocalist & artist, period.
