TB Robby - Vvs (EP)
Before entering the month of July, San Antonio's star-studded producer TB Robby decided to keep a few of his formidable beats for himself where he's seen diamond dancing on records in this 5-track EP titled "Vvs." Shining like the grills in his mouth, TB Robby spits a few melodic medleys over the production that is putting the tracks in rotation for the weeks ahead.
Hopping out the whip going crazy, his first record off the EP anoints him of being a "Southside Stepper," especially with the ferocity stature he's carrying himself to be a problem to those opposing his success. Fast pacing rhymes is a defining characteristic we hear many times from Robby throughout his career, but I think this joint showcases the effort he's put in to perfect this sound. You already know that Robby is a "Big Deal," and while the record is more of him making a play with a huge payoff, you can hear the dedication in his tone of this music shit not being a game for him but a way to see a better opportunity for him in life. We respect the mentality, and we appreciate even more of the work he's put in to make this come to fruition for him more and more each day. While the city is his hometown, he does provide work outside the 210 where he can catch him at the time of "Midnight in Houston" to reminisce about how heartbreak changes his career. From going through the emotions to it spilling it on pen & pad then conveying through vocals to now putting him on the status, he's currently on. He can't explain his issues to you because he's working on a different wavelength than most; what might be affecting his mood now might be fucking up your entire month if you were in his shoes. I can understand the feeling, and it's a line that sits heavy on my listening experience of the EP. He transverse the same message in "Mango Habanero Freestyle," which is heating up how Robby is wearing his heart on his sleeve to showcase him on a deeply personal level. We love when an artist comes to step forward to show his inner thoughts in hopes we listen, and I can assure you; we are listening on this end. Two in one track is the anchorage of this project. It's the finest of them all since it celebrates his hustle and grinds in such a triumphant manner that you can hear his upbeat roar sound louder and louder, with the might of his vocals being a distinguished change of effect. We hear Robby go for the gold in his artistic field in which he shines brighter and brighter whenever content from him is produced out in the world.
I know TB Robby has a lot in store for the near future, including having co-production credit on Rich's "Ese Talk 2", which I'm sure many more hits are in the works as well. Be pressure for the season Robby to begin, and make sure your in familiar with his latest EP here while sharing it around on all social media platforms.
