Vibe World Order feat Anna Shoemaker - WYA? (Single)

Continuing to be my favorite collective out-releasing content, VWO is at it again with a new single titled “WYA” featuring Anna Shoemaker that followed the same day with a visual to go along with the impressive creative that this band of talent brings to the music genre.

It directed by JTT, who actually starts off the record with his crooning of the chorus asking, where you at? Are you coming to save him, or is he’s stuck at home where he doesn’t want to be. Nights like this are not for him; he hopes he can listen to his mother’s advice and put more time into his work. He’s hoping that his next single can get him out of this funk and put him on, he’s dealing with personal struggles around him, but he wants to know if these sacrifices are worth it in the end. Reg Mason is up next, contemplating his decision to have the woman of his eye leave since he’s not changing anytime soon for her. He loves your company, but he may be more than what she anticipated, and he’s not putting her through that potential torment. The chorus is their cry for help; if there is anyone out there listening, they need to know their efforts to pursue music are worth their time. This joint is their own personal SOS & I loved how they reach out to the fans in such a genuine way. Another great thing about this track is that it gives us a proper introduction to Anna Shoemake, whose impressive vocals provide a unique essence to the already fantastic record. She doesn’t call because she loves you, but because she’s lonely. She wants an urgent sense of availability from you because the thought of being alone for a moment more will have her thinking unfavorited feelings that she’s doesn’t want to surface.

Things of moving too fast in a relationship, not knowing if this is what she wants since the last one didn’t end on the highest note. Her emotions are poured right out on the chorus since it engulfs a feeling of pride & heartbreak in a mix that goes along well with the previous verses. Groovy get the last batch of the ComftableDude production, and while using flow is menacing, he doesn’t have the same mood as the artists prior. His demeanor is sterner, and he’s flexing in the process with the golds in his mouth and rosary around his neck. This verse is SouthernPlayalistic at its finest, and with the argument he’s having with his lady about his suave persona. She knows nobody is built like him, and he’s gone through this without anyone controlling him, and he does not want to let that start now. Each artist perceived the notion of their lifestyle all in their verses, and I applaud them with, of course, anyone else who had their hand in making this record come to life in an astonishing way.

Never a dull moment when VWO releases music, and I’m excited to see what more is in store for the collective. Many artists of the group, including Reg Mason, have been focusing on the solo route, but this could be a diversion to focus on those releases and not see the bigger picture of an upcoming album from the collective in the works. I got my suspicions, but in the meantime, we’ll keep these theories on hold and enjoy the music. Be sure to peep both the track & visual here while sharing them both on all social media platforms.
