King Khali & Sage feat Reek & Malcom Jakob - Fist High (Single)

Just in time for Juneteenth, King Khali takes a break from the minute freestyles he was blessing us with to give us a full-length posse cut, produced by Sage & alongside Reek & Malcolm Jakob. They all deliver potent verses, delivering each of their respective truths with the utmost conviction. They’re fed up with the hypocrisy at hand & are calling it all out since people would instead blindly follow the blind than open their eyes to see the lies hiding in plain sight. Many people love to call music like this political rap, but fuck politics, this is music for the people. I don’t know what you’d call those in that realm, but they certainly ain’t people; what they’re doing is inhumane & anybody with a heart should keep that “Fist High.”

Khali opens things up, posing crucial questions that deserve answering; the question in & of itself is oxymoronic, “How is it Democracy when they abusing power?” I bet you wouldn’t even get crickets after a question like that cause it’s true & they don’t know how to answer to truth. They’re only equipped to lie; that’s what their whole foundation is based on; we pay taxes for them to in return lie to us, over & over again, following rules that were written by a bunch of dead people, carrying their baggage & tradition, choosing to ignore the kind of people they actually were, behind closed doors & out in the open. The same people who consume all of this nonsense are the same ones who always seem to have something to say when it comes down to using certain terms or rioting. The little euphemisms they umbrella over peaceful protests further proving their point that even when they come at an angle of love. These so-called leaders you praise so much aren’t ready for that & are willing to take drastic measures to silence anybody who goes against their belief system.

Khali isn’t going out without a fight; he’ll singlehandedly dismantle it all, but why not get some help along the way. Reek comes through to call out the current political party; he’s not falling for Biden’s fuckery either. It’s beyond the stimmies owed. I know people made a big fuss about Kamala when she was running alongside Joe. Still, Reek points out that when you look back at history, every time people like Martin, Malcolm, or Fred move up that ladder & get into those positions in the hopes to reinforce change where it’s needed. The government doesn’t like that; it serves no purpose to them & they’ll scramble to do whatever they can to silence it or demand a piece of it & when it isn’t given up right away. We will take it with brute force; it’s just the reality many have to face & still, some people get uptight about having to see it as if it’s the same as having to live it.

As things change, they also stay the same, unfortunately, & Malcolm, like many others, is just trying to adjust to it all. He points out the ironic truth in something he was once told, being that it’s what we’re now seeing on our Twitter pages & how we just accept it & keep it moving. The show must go on, as they say, even if the set design is cheap, especially if it is. We’ve just been told to accept everything for what it is & we continuously bend over backward & do that; much to our disdain & rappers are the easy targets. Always using their lyrics, their respective truths against them in court, trying their damndest to conceal the sins committed & painting those whom they’re screwing over in the light of sin, which only further encourages their followers to carry out their duties & people still have the audacity to call this “The American Dream” but pretty soon that fist is going to come down & put your ass to sleep if you believe that.
