Monroe Flow - Blessed (Album)
It seems like Monroe Flow is no longer facing any "Trouble In Paradise" at this moment in time. He's feeling "Blessed," so forgive him if he feels the need to "Stunt," but the things he's stunting over are valid. He's the type who's in control of his emotions; that alone is the biggest flex of this whole record. All the other things he's mentioning, like trips with the boys & the tropics, "all I ever wanted was a thousand fans, a hundred dollars each, that's 100 bands". He wants respect over anything but realizes the fruits of his labor that come along with having respect in this game, he can teach you how to stunt, but you have to be willing to heed the game he's spilling.
Calling on Larry June to vibe out on "TFM Music," they deliver more of that top-down music. That Cali heat beaming over you, the skies damn near pink as they keep their flows on cruise control, then swiftly he breezes into more of this grown folk music on "Love Jones." His bassy voice & just the way he carries himself will surely make her swoon. Her beauty is already stopping him in his tracks; it's refreshing hearing records like this, records that empower rather than demeaning women. It shows what kind of man he is, the one who's continuously "Closing Deals" on the updated subtle banger paying homage to Cam'ron's "Oh Boy." He's just having fun being witty on this one, very entertaining storytelling!
When he gets "Back from NY," it's going to be trouble for those who've tried undermining him, mistaking his kindness for weakness. He can take it there any day, but he'd rather kickback. There's no need to get violent; he rather express his disdain through the music but hardly wastes any time discussing it due to how insignificant it really is in the grand scheme of things. He's better than that, plus this life he's leading is too great to lose focus basking in it, this that boss talk throughout this record, elegant music strictly for those with a certain level of class, for those rich in mind, not just period.
