BigBabyGucci - Assume The Worst (EP)

BIGBABYGUCCI's 6th studio project is here & he wants you to "Assume the Worst" even though these seven cuts are everything but the worst. However, he's clearly at his worst here; personally, his internal struggles make for more of that external pressure he keeps applying onto any & all who despise him. He's urging his demons to watch their "Language" as they try to comprehend his, choosing to play dimwitted as if they don't understand what he's saying, like he isn't saying it as clearly as one can. However, he's losing his mind; he doesn't care; if he starts to watch then, he won't have the time nor the desire to revel in the fruits of his labors as well as otherworldly activities.

I love how he distorts his voice at the end as well as the beat as it fades into the next; it must be how the voices in his head are sounding, everything but monotone, to say the least. He's aware of his overindulgences & how "Unhealthy" all these habits of his are, but it's almost like he can't stop tiptoeing on the precipice he's been on longer than I'm sure he'd care to specify. He could "Walk off the Ledge" at any given moment & once he descends into what's golden in the mountain of his madness, there's no telling what's to come, he just spent "20 on a Necklace", what you still doing, making the same excuses while he robs you seen?

I love when artists can make significant usage of autotune without sacrificing the lyricism & he administers his with such raw conviction. The pain is anything but felt as he belts it out; it's "Bloody Murder Elegance," that beautiful death he's bringing onto these beats, as well as opps. He's taking over the strip, a powerful message throughout "Black Wall Street" that a lot of people honestly need to heed, I've heard the sentiment plenty, but his delivery here really drove it home. All of his emotion is here to "Bleed Thru" each piece onto the other & as the title tells you, 2021 is only going to get worse, at least for those who stand in his way.
