Zacari - Good Nights (Video)

Top Dawg’s own Zacari is feeling a whole lot of separation anxiety on his latest motion sickness-inducing visuals to “Good Nights,” & it’s anything but stuffed up with so many stirred emotions that the room is spinning as the surrounding walls are closing in on him. The person he’s pondering is right on the other side of those walls, those barriers that he’s put up for whatever the reason may be. I’m not sure anyone has ever sounded so alone; I believe he’s captured that feeling here impeccably.

She weighs far too heavy on the cranial; the boulder is almost impossible for him to carry, let alone lift off of himself to toss into oblivion. It’s been impeding far too long, interfering far too much on his bliss, making the textures felt much more melancholy, not sad per se, just melancholy. He’s yearning for her touch, yet how can she move on so quickly while he’s here suffering in sheer silence. It’s hardly bearable, but maybe a little weed will calm the nerves, or perhaps it’ll just heighten those anxieties you try to hide. Now it’s back to even those same destructive patterns that put you on this path.

The lust demons are tearing his body apart, ligament by ligament, as well as his mental state. A part of it is slowly deteriorating as he’s trying to encourage himself to get himself together, maybe take some time off to recharge, to regroup & put yourself back out there once you’re ready. It’s no rush & there surely won’t be forcing of any kind, you can’t move things to go back to what they once were, you can only look forward, good nights are ahead & let me say, these visuals are a tour de force to be reckoned with!
