Shilxh - Hooked (Single)

Shilxh is back with her first drop of the new year & it’s yet another concisely excellent record, which she’s only capable of making. I personally can’t see her making a bad record & “Hooked” is no exception. The perfect blend of Pop & R&B, I can see TikTokers eating this record up if it ever hits them. You won’t be able to resist moving to this little number & singing along; not as good as her perhaps, but the lyrics will speak to many people.

A lot of sleepless nights waiting for this person to return though it’s not likely & she knows this, so she’s focusing on all the dreams & goals she has to prove, but this motivation this person gave her is still sitting in the back of her mind. She just can’t waste her time waiting around for someone who’s off leading their own life, no longer concerned with her, but she still cares. She still needs that reassurance that she can do these things she’s trying to achieve with or without this person, though it would be nice.

But please, just for this one night, can you be “Hooked” on her? Maybe you’ll change your mind & stick around, even if only for tonight. I personally have a lot of attachment issues. Hence, records like these make me feel that much better as I work through them. It’s short, sweet & vulnerable as ever. Still, most importantly, it just feels right, has me anxious to return to that special somebody, taking me back to those nights we shared where we were the only essential things in one another’s lives. Still, we both got something to achieve, so like the song, it won’t last forever, but in the meantime, I’d love nothing more than to be “Hooked” onto you.
