Joey Maurice - Blue 3 (Album)
With his 6th studio effort, Joey Maurice is back with that beautiful blend of new & old on "Blue 3", and ironically so. He's "Green Eyed" on the album opener, though she has him feeling bluer than ever. It seems that they just both speeding towards an uneven path. She's not the girl he fell in love with way back when; she's just somebody he "Used To Know (Remind Me)" who you were before you switched up. He's met someone new, but she only reminds him of that long-lost past love; maybe he's looking for what she gave him in her.
Just cause you love somebody doesn't mean y'all are always automatically compatible, unfortunately, her attitude & his actions have both collided to devastating results, fore they are now "Frienemies," keep your friends close & enemies closer though, something about her, he just can't seem to let go & who can blame him, people are put into our lives to sometimes teach us, not necessarily always be there, at the end of the day, all you really got is yourself, Clifton Dukes stresses that more than enough to not only him but we the listeners, "Who Want It" cause anyone can get it.
He even offers us some beautiful storytelling on "Outta State Scammer Bitch”, an unfortunate tale of him being swindled by the baddest bitch he's ever seen. Note to self; looks can be more than deceiving, so choose wisely who you fuck with it fuck around with closely. We even get a tribute with "R.I.P. Mac Miller," it's obvious he was his "Favorite," he was "Rare," just like the new beauty he's fascinated by. They don't make them like him anymore either; it seems he's going to keep it going "Forever" with no signs of letting up on leaving the music, let alone listeners black & blue, three times over.
