Cush With A C - Nothing’s Perfect (Album)

Nothing’s Perfect,” & Cush With a C doesn’t expect it to be on his sophomore full length. He knows he’s been “Gone For Too Long,” the game ain’t nothing like what it used to be as he lays out his come up along with the pitfalls that come with it but that hunger to keep striving, he never lost it, even if he lost himself in the process, to spit with passion like this & over this minimalist soul, what a way to open an album, the whole “World Gone Know” who he is, there’s more than meets the eye.

This “Can’t Let You Go” flip & this early in the album is so delightful. This is gonna be in so many playlists, a beautifully nostalgic yet modernist take on an early 2000’s R&B classic & they make it all their own on “Life With You,” then even more soul samples on “Million 4 I Die”, the perfect bed to flex & not in a braggadocios manner, rather grateful that he’s come this far & hasn’t even hit his peak yet is already delivering beautiful music like this.

This is working man music, records like “Night Shift,” like, these are the kind of records that’ll get you through the mundanity of life & hopefully alleviate some of those stresses we all face just trying to make life feel worth it, he’s came a long, long way & ain’t even “Halfway” there yet, “Dealing With Trauma” with “No Shoulder 2 Lean On”, people can only do so much for you, you gotta get it on your own cause you’re all you really have in the grand scheme of it all, nothing is ever going to be perfect, but if you do what you do every day, you’ll get damn close to it, thank Cush now for delivering a soon to be a timeless body of work on his sophomore magnum opus.
