Whookilledkenny - No Refunds (EP)

Eight singles with visuals to go along with them, and you can count that Whookilledkenny held one of the most impressive resumes for the year in releases. With that said, Whookilledkenny could’ve ended the year just like that since he outdid most of his peers that dropped full-length projects, yet Kenny chose violence instead by dropping an EP titled “No Refunds.” It made his presence more known with an outstanding achievement for the year that should have him high on the list for artist of the year.

Applying pressure right out the gate with his intro record “Pay Yuh Debt,” Whookilledkenny spazzes out of control with a barrage of wordplays and metaphors that sizes up any opps lurking to downplay any of Kenny’s success. He’s not paying any hate no mind since all in his eyes are fine women and dollar signs. Gun talk with luxurious items on deck can perfectly describe this single, but just one listen, and you’ll want to change your lifestyle for the better by investing instead of spending. Foolishness ain’t in his repertoire; he ain’t “Tweakin” like you lames. He’s about getting to the checks & the finish line instead of focusing on the social media games of playing the part instead of being in the role. He couldn’t fake this shit if he tried, the hustle is too strong in his blood, and he’s just trying to make sure the people know what’s accurate about him. This music is that “Anti Cap,” he’s not stacking up the paper for the thrill of the net but his future to see better days than his past. Keep on expecting the worse from him because karma will make sure it happens to you tenfold; Whookilledkenny will continue to dump out “Rounds” for the opps, testing his patience, yet here in this record he’s speaking on lasting in the bedroom with a dime piece for the night. Expect to go all fourth quarters with him while he’s looking to take you to championship. Besides the prestigious lyricism wrapped in these records, you can’t listen through completely without praising the production since it fits nicely among these rhymes dished out by Kenny. He devises a blueprint to make this EP a glorious release for him while shedding more light on his city, just like the jewelry that hangs on his neck & wrist.

If awards are given yearly to artists pushing the boundaries in the rap game, then Whookilledkenny needs to have a couple of them on his ranking belt since this man has been an impressive figure in rap and always succeeds on his own accord. 2021 has been a staple of success for Kenny, and I hope to see 2022 become even more significant. Until more of his reign continues, we recommend you check out this EP here and share it around on all social media platforms.
