Southside Hoodlum - Money Talk (Video)
It wouldn’t be an end-of-the-year celebration if we didn’t get a preview of what’s to come in the new year for Southside Hoodlum. Along with dropping new merch during the week, he released a new visual titled “Money Talk” accompanied by soulful production from Big Tex Johnny & Ace The Shooter behind the lens with edits done by DONTHYPEME to bring together another pristine drop on top of Hoodlum’s reputable catalog.
The first half of the video is Hoodlum in the land of candy-painted dreams and double cup destiny with his exotic pop styrofoam filled to the brim in some muddy water while he’s shotgun in the passenger seat of the SLAB. He’s posted in the cut with Slumped Boyz’s Founder Cesar, bodyguard JB & some familiar faces in the DYNA familia that appear on the side of him while he’s sliding on the impact of Big Tex Johnny’s production. He’s masterminded a whole wave with his beats, and it’s starting to flood the scene from head to toe of the sinister & soulful sounds of the Southside vibes. Plastered with Hoodlum’s lyrical dosages on the track, it’s never a dull moment when riding around the city and blaring this out the window in downtown San Antonio or other surrounding towns. The second half of the track is also followed with a harmonious sample that showcases shots of Hoodlum in the crowds from previous shows, cash hiding away his face, and other looks outside the trap while he’s gripping his double cup containing his euphoric medicine. Gun talk mixed with his love for the thrill of hustling and stacking cash is what we can muster up this record that serves nicely as an outro. It’s enough looks and listens to give us listers an indication of what’s to come next on Hoodlum’s follow-up to “Lord Knows.”
From shows, billboards, charts, & countless releases, 2021 has been nothing but highs for Southside Hoodlum. He’s become a father in the process, and we’re happy for his success.
