Y Chibi - Street Dreams (Single)
Clubhouse can be an excellent tool in finding new artists, and earlier this week, there was a perfect example of just that. I entered into a chat room talking about Texas's upcoming talents, and one name came across everyone’s discussion: Y Chibi. It caught me off guard because I was unfamiliar with his music, but that didn’t take long for me to find what I needed to know about the young up & comer. In the middle of December, he had recently dropped a record titled “Street Dreams” that grew in attention to see many people now knowing his name. He decided to double down on the most recent success by dropping a visual to it that helped achieved more awareness. Indeed, that worked fast for him to get the video to 33K in views and counting with more to be seen throughout the months ahead.
Now harmonious production like this from Kev Beats needs to go along with a smooth sounding tone as we get that more with Y Chibi’s passionate melodic draw that shares his dreams of wanting to be a dope dealer making paper, selling work to dope fiends. It isn’t a bad dream since it comes with a flashy lifestyle and enough green to make your world worthwhile, but it has consequences that can either lead to death or imprisonment. He even goes into detail on how he would keep paper stacking up around for himself and his team while keeping the heat on the side and watching his back with every move he made. Still, it’s the finest of things that draw him into these street dreams, but at the same time, they are just as vile as the substances he’s pushing. He’s too blessed to be dealing with these trials and tribulations, and he goes ahead with making it out another way. Music has been the primary motivation to make it out of the hood to lead a life with better options and his family, including friends agree especially those dealing with the mistakes they made during their adolescent come up. It’s not wrong to have dreams like this, I’m sure everyone wanted to live the street dreams like Ox from Belly or Ace in Paid In Full, but it can always end in a catastrophic event that I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone. Y Chibi did an incredible work of art on this record that was a phenomenal release and helped create the waves he’s currently riding into success.
This artist will be at the top of our list to continue checking on periodically to see more music follow, but until we recommend you familiar here by checking out both visual and track while sharing both on all social media avenues.
