P.P. - The Victor (Single)

With the disastrous 2020 on the brink of ending on Dec 31st, before we say our goodbyes to one of the worst years, it was announced shortly in the afternoon that Daniel Dumile, better known as MF DOOM, had passed away back on Oct 31st. His family had withheld the news of his death to grieve on their own accord, which was respected & understanding. The career he left was gargantuan; even if you didn't listen to much Hip-Hop, you knew the mask and the villain behind it. For hip-hop enthusiasts like myself, DOOM held a high standard among great emcees, probably the highest since his style was mysterious and eccentric. Whether you know him by the different alias, he went by Viktor Vaughn, Metal Face, King Ghidra, or Madvillain with producer Madlib plus many more where there hasn't been someone like him before and doubt there will be after.

The loss of DOOM took tolls on many artists, producers, creatives, etc., and while in the time of this displeasing news, many people paid homage to him, which was great to see and hear since you got to see how powerful his life was for everyone in the world. One of the homages I came across was from a fellow emcee of The Crown, P.P., who dropped a record titled "The Victor" that share thanks to inspirations that DOOM had on his life and his rapping ability. I can't lie; I shed some many tears writing this post while listening to the track. You can hear so many pleasant, filled wordplays and verses while sticking to his original script of dominating with his lyrical aggression in a combination that is insane. P.P. is just a great artist who can diabolically destroy a herd of rappers and eat lunch right after. He's a monstrous tyrant behind the mic, and this record right here seals the deal to that description perfectly.

I'm sure P.P. gave this track all he had and then some, he fueled the pain of losing a great emcee and channeled the frustration here, and from that, I commended him. I'm genuinely grateful for artists like P.P. to showcase their raw talent like this and be able to share their inspiration in the process. I'm sure DOOM is looking down and seeing how his content, character, and aura to help shift the hip-hop culture for the better. RIP MF DOOM and P.P. thank you for this glorious send-off to Victor Von DOOM'a life. *mic drop*
