Southside Hoodlum - Crossroads (Video)

Thank GOD for Hoodlum; he's probably our fiercest leader in the beautiful city of San Antonio. Consistently building on all of this well-deserved momentum & notoriety he's been receiving & continues to & what do you expect other than nothing less? The music speaks for itself; the way he carries himself speaks for itself. I honestly don't even need to tell you things or how influential his music is. If you have eyes & ears, it's clear as day & his latest 2 in 1, for which he's infamous for doing cause the fans are just so spoiled, he sure does know how to treat his fans & we are ever so grateful as he is on "Crossroads."

The 1st half of this video finds Hoodlum relishing how he's manifesting all of this success he always knew would come his way. Still, he's grateful as well to have made it to this point, visiting the graveyard to pay respects to those who've fallen, those who weren't fortunate enough to make it to 25, something he expresses profound gratitude. Hoodlum could never be complacent cause he's doing this for not only those who have fallen & his people. Those who are still alive, looking up to him, hoping one day they too can carve out a path of success exclusively their own, it only makes sense he'd be expressing such emotion over a soulful sample, you ain't never heard "Gospel" like this.

And the 2nd half of the video is that classic, raw, guttery menace that makes Southside such a force to be reckoned with. Even more so because of the unity that's exhibited once Pauliiito pulls up on Hoodlum with his people on the dirt bikes. It's such a good look for the city to see these two come together & even more beautiful that's it isn't in the form of a song, which I'm sure will inevitably happen one day. Still, even this in itself is a beautifully major deal. We need more of this unity to occur in the city & hopefully, these two leaders of ours coming together will inspire that & word is that Hoodlum's next record is just around the corner in his anticipated album!
