When it comes to vicious & criminally underrated MC's, gotta throw Doeman in there, I'm sure he's appreciated by plenty, of course. Still, when you hear his pen hard at work on this 2-minute freestyle, you'll revisit old work & visit new work alike to study his pen, nothing better to me than an MC who clearly takes pride in his pen & is continuously working on his craft, trying to top his last shit.

On "Barrio Bars," Doe is "Immortal with technique" & here to hurt feelings with his nonchalantly vicious flow & lyricism. He lists off rappers he feels & yes, you aren't included in that list & he's not sorry if you feel a way about it. The syllable work throughout is immaculate, lots of really gradual metaphors & ambitious bars throughout this think piece.

I love how the visuals keep his face hidden with the dim lighting, almost like you're not going to see him coming when he robs you of your manhood blind. As he rips through 2 minutes of "Barrio Bars" with such ease & swagger, these bars are hot enough to melt an ICE official to a puddle of pointless protoplasm.
