Kydd Jones feat The Teeta - Checks (Single)

On his 5th single this quarantine year, Kydd Jones enlists The Teeta for an ode to independence, getting it on your own & out the mud as you know these two did & continue to do. It’s another smasher right after its predecessor & judging from the almost similar artwork, both singles may find their way onto an upcoming project, but that’s my speculation, just making an observation.

“Count up these hunnids, they Nipsey Blue” is the standout line here for its tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle & it’s brilliantly simplistic wordplay, blue notes, cmon, I love little plays on words like that. Those that may sound simple when you read it back to yourself but have double meanings & something that everyone can feel & gravitate towards in enjoying.

Not sure who did the artwork here but shout out him for the intriguing cover art, you know you’re in for something interesting. This single surpasses what you’d expect; it’s zanily hypnotizing, dizzying & addictive, easily memorable.
