Liv.e - Couldn’t Wait To Tell You (Album)
Love these projects straight out of left field, avant-garde in every sense of the term, ambidextrous when it comes to style. Meshing elements of Jazz, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, Lo-Fi, R&B, etc. to form a peculiarly elegant sound that is all her own & it is that in which she waxes poetic throughout this eager release.
The lyrical themes are meant to expand your mind & sense of self, urging you to tap into your innermost emotions. It’s as scatterbrained as they come, like splashes of paint on canvas were just hung up for all to see, admiration or no, it remains nonetheless intriguing. The main takeaway I took from this album was to be free, love myself & smile for once. It kind of forces you to feel that way in its jazzy ambiance, one of the main things I love about left-field music like this; it right off the bat tells how you should feel.
It’s aphrodisiacal in its sensuality, surrendering in its beauty & sedating in its vulnerability. You’ll feel the toxins exiting your body as the natural remedies slowly & gracefully slide in; standouts include all 20, no skips are permitted once you hit play. Its cohesiveness won’t allow it, mighty healthy if I do say so myself.
