Awkward Lowlife - All Night Long (Single)

Since my terrible mistake with not realizing that $inik changed his name to the, honestly, more fitting Awkward Lowlife or Awk Low if you wish to abbreviate so practically. He’s been gifting us with numerous singles, some on DSP’s, others you can find on his YouTube channel, all of which are worth the listen. Just tiny doses of his capabilities as an artist, be it the paranoia of “Separation Anxiety,” the Pop goes Punk vibes of “Crappy Punk Song.” A song a highly recommend cause it is anything but the confrontational afterthoughts of “All Me” or the lullaby that is “Halo.” He has a little something for everyone to admire.

He & J Allan have been cranking out a lot of work together recently, each one differing from the last, showcasing the versatility of both while also maintaining certain chemistry that’s just bubbling up to the surface, surely to overflow into some great. At least an EP offering from these two & once again, they switch it up with the hazily ditsy number “All Night Long,” a collision course that is way too hell-bent for leather, but Awk just can’t keep his foot off the gas. He’s going full speed ahead towards his vices, choosing to worry about crashing only once he inevitably does but now doesn’t seem like a reasonable time for it to occur; he’s too in his transient element.

We find Awk at his lowest yet highest, just fluctuations of emotions as he goes on the 24/7 bender of overindulgence. It’s like everything around him is a time-lapse & he’s just there, out of body & out of touch with reality, numb to any pain he was feeling prior that remaining conscious enough to know it’s only temporary. Still, he’ll take what he can get & boy if these aren’t the sounds of a man fighting his demons, how can one wake from this nightmare when he can’t sleep?
