Naalah - Even When I’m Tired (EP)
I have always believed that the first record of a project should have you hooked immediately to where the rest of it welcomes you to enjoy the ambiance of its desired sound. Naalah's latest EP titled "Even When I'm Tired" did just that with the intro track "The Slide, Pt. 1" catching vibes right when the horn comes in that follow with the mesmerizing vocals by Nalaah. She mesmerizes the psyche to elevating heights that feel like your posted and relaxing on cloud 9. That's just the intro alone; dive into the rest of the project to see what more the cloud has in store for you to cherish the heavenly sounds that are welcomed throughout the project.
Harmony with pleasing elements is a way to describe the EP, especially with the conscious whispers in the vocal tone that can appeal to a relaxation state. "The Strom B4" is calming in the sense of expression since she waits alone in the open of not knowing how long she's been there but experiencing the lonesome solitude has her thinking if you'll ever go back since she no longer has a home waiting for her. As mellow as the project is, she spills her soul in the records that share her character of a high-hoped individual with so much love that she doesn't have someone to share it with in life. She is seeking trust & loyalty, yet she is too far gone in her own nature to be pleasant in somebody else's aura since she doesn't want to be let down and end up feeling vulnerable. Her energy is laced with negativity, that she showered it away from her existence to bring nature's calling to spread positivity back in her lifestyle. Her outro track titled "Preconceived Notion" maybe has the most words in it since the other joints are more humming with gracious intent for subtle words to forward her tale. The record itself creates a soundscape to close out the EP on the highest of notes that will leave you in a trance of composing emotions and tranquility to cherish the project as a holy grail of exquisite expression.
I genuinely enjoyed this EP from start to finish that I needed to share it on the site for our followers to catch on to this project that I know will be hooked to off first listen. Even when she's tired, she still buries her heart in her craft to share the intimacy of her history. Be sure to stream the latest from Naalah here while sharing both on all social media platforms.
