AMEA - Light Years (Single)

“Light Years” ahead yet over before you know it on this concise ode to gratefulness. Amea is on her way home, after a long day & judging from the cover art, possibly intoxicated if not just a tad, a smidge under the influence, swerving in & out of every lane, like a pendulum, her emotions hypnotized by it.

The bass on this record is soothing as well as it is melancholy. Her angelic aura soaring through the airy atmospheres the production on here exudes & her lyrical work is very mysterious. “I feel you wanna know the real,” something about the way she delivers that line, how could the other person not wanna follow her down a garden path, to see what lies ahead, she’s probably as fortunate as Amea is.

Some of the best songs are this concise, the way this ends before you know it. She snaps out of her trance & is home, in bed with her significant other, or you could look at it the other way around, but let’s be hopeful & not choose the latter & anticipate more intoxicating records like this.
