Sam Houston & BLK ODYSSY - Big Bad Wolf/Sober Interlude (Video)
The “Big Bad Wolf” is on your trail, picking up on your scent, the daunting sounds as he subtly chants Pac’s “Hailmary” adlibs, the ambiance surrounding this slowly bleeding over. Before you know it, he’s right behind you, silently stalking but the presence of danger looms over you as you try to find your way into a safe haven & that’s all Sam trying to do, make it out alive.
Sam is overflowing with emotions, he has endured much hurt in his life & he’s using his words as weapons. Knives are just flinging them at those who’ve caused this cycle of damage he’s been carrying deep inside him, choosing to no longer keep it suppressed. The pain was so much, and he almost took his own life over it in a grim & gloomily truthful verse that will make every little hair on your body poke up with suspense.
Hopefully, Sam wins this war with himself, though this war of ours is timeless, match that with the war surrounding us; it must be a lot to bare. Still, Sam bares his heart & soul once he comes down from his frustrations on “SOBER,” somberly reflective & deeply resonating as he softly lets his vulnerability reign free.
