Bri Steves - Sober (Single)
Yesterday evening I was introduced to Philly songstress Bri Steves by way of her latest single, "Sober," that is an intoxicating record that you want to consume for the whole night and wake up in the afternoon to do it all over again. It's a delightful listen of being drunken in love while free falling with emotions that will trigger numerous feelings to have you expressing a series of questionable decisions without caring what nobody thinks, kind of like being under the influence of alcohol.
Take a shot or maybe two, Bri Steves takes down the liquid stress in this record as she is going back and forth with her intuition of being done with her significant other, but maybe one more night of romance isn't such a bad thing. She doesn't care to be sober since it's the drunken state that helps her get the things on her mind out; whether it be in a reasonable manner or not, it's out there, and it's her honest statement on the situation. The melodic tendencies of Bri's vocal structure are what make this track such a hit. She can play both parts so well of driving the intent matter of someone unable to express themselves the way they like unless their drunk but also has intimate takes of being sober and feeling vulnerable when sharing their emotions. The visual captures this essence so real and raw that you can't take this track by one shot but many more to have you feeling it's euphoric nature that set off the irresistible cadence of the record.
I truly enjoyed this track and even got caught up with her catalog and bio, which I'm more than impressed with the success she's accomplished so far. This second single from her this year put me in a trance to keep her on my radar moving forward in which I hope many others can follow suit. Stream the record here while viewing the visual and make sure to share both on all available social media platforms.
