Doeman - Stunna (Single)
Doeman shows no signs of letting up; after a slew of singles & a masterful EP, he basks in the fruits of his labor on the swankily swaggering “Stunna,” a fittingly celebratory record for these times we’re living in. Doeman isn’t letting it put a halt to his seemingly never-ending grind, hustling even when he’s reveling in his saturnalia like lifestyle.
Even the cover art is luxurious as can be, paying homage to those classic covers we love so much; look what 21 Savage done brought back. It’s even more meaningful when a top-tier MC like Doeman is doing the carry on the tradition. He sacrifices none of us charisma & offers bars full of self-awareness, bragging rites, introspection, reflection & determination, surely to lift up rather than bringing down even though he is looking down on those who refuse to apply themselves enough to boss up as he has.
Doeman has been keeping the pressure on their jugulars all year long; one can only hope all these singles, including the EP, are all merely warm-ups to what he’s set to deliver on his next full-length body of work. All I know is that if he continues spitting with this amount of conviction, he can solidify himself fully as someone you don’t want to fuck with lyrically if you don’t already feel that way, as you should if you’re wise.
