Asia Kyreé - Bad Guy (Album)

Kansas City consists of some of the dopest talents you’ve never heard of but are yet to listen to it. Not only a hometown to specific OG’s, that of which would undoubtedly feel the music that is meant to evoke emotion like Asia Kyreé does on the just under 30-minute masterclass in minimalist modernity laced “Bad Guy,” the cover art perfectly exemplified on the intro/title track.

Diving off the “Deep End” to drown in her own woes, the Dallas songstress dishes about it’s “your loss” that you drove her down as you ascend upward, cause as I hear all the time, it gets lonely at the top, as her descent continues on the intoxicating “Overdose.” Still, she takes a pause in mid-air on “Wait,” vowing to not wait for no man just as time does, nor can he expect her to wait on him to change for the better.

She’s not looking to settle down; love no longer lives where she resides on “Ain’t Here,” the fella in question feeling some type of way about her rejection of newfound commitment. She has “Callin’” of hers to answer to & you’re just going to have to “Take It” as it is. Accept it & run with it if you’re going to have anything to do with her romantically, sifting through zodiac “Signs” to find some sort of compatibility & hopefully that person is “You,” a powerful way to close this flawless record, the power of love is tangibly felt.
