Nia Ray - What’s Love Anyways (EP)

More promising new talent in Miami’s own Nia Ray as she drops off her debut EP, posing the question “What’s Love Anyway.” It’s different for everybody, but this is what she thinks love is, posing even more questions within the songs. Immediately so on the opening track “Sober,” wondering if she is sober cause Nia is on a high when she’s around, you so come on over & make it feel like last October.

She feels “Too Far Gone” due to the damage she’s probably faced from previous relationships, almost as if she’s given up on love or is coming close to it. She’s not ready to jump back into a commitment when she’s still trying to move past her past, but if you do find yourself in a position where your hers. Please treat her delicately cause her fragility is clear as day & can be too easily shattered if you give up cause she’s too much to handle.

She “Needs More” than what’s she’s getting, not complacent or content with what Nia has now, so she urges you to give her more. It’s almost a want to settle down but not to get too comfortable; it’s dangerous territory to enter into with a relationship, speaking from experience, all in all, it stresses independence cause. We only got ourselves at the end of the day. What’s love anyway? It hurts too much even though being alone can get way too lonely; it’s not like she wants to end it. Still, she has to if she genuinely wants peace. This EP will snip your heartstrings; tearjerkers galore.
