Dingo Johnson - Miss Me? (Single + Video)
Dingo Johnson raps better; let's face it, the way he taunts this Neptunes production is ridiculous, witty line after witty line over the beat's quirkiness. He's reminding us, even if we didn't want to admit it initially, we did miss him & what a way for him to come back & poke at us; it's fun the way he spins & bounces from wall to wall on this. His skills daunting as ever if you didn't already know that, you should already know that. Still, the way he arrogantly addresses it here will have you crawling away to the rest of his archive, bleeding profusely from his blade & his sorry that he's not sorry for the serial killer he is on this; you brought it on yourself.
I once heard someone say he sounded like old Tyler; I'm not sure about that comparison, never was a fan of people doing that. To me, he's always been in his lane stylistically speaking; his style to me is just warped. It forces your ear to think & mouth to laugh simultaneously with the wild shit he says a lot of the time, it's like, only his mind can come up with this shit & you're left, not so much offended by what he's saying but how causally arrogant he delivers it.
With his tape "I RAP BETTER" coming this Halloween, we can expect more of this, so we word nerds are going to have a field day when this comes out. I can almost picture him stealing candy from trick or treaters, smashing pumpkins, shit like that; he's like the main kid in the center of the Goosebumps book "Attack of the Jack-o-lanterns." He's head honcho, giving you spine chilling lines throughout; he's going to be digging up bodies on this tape, not just merely catching them.
