Pusha T Makes It Snow Early In Austin, TX
Making it snow in October, MC Presents bought Cocaine’s Dr. Seuss, Pusha T, to Austin, Texas, who was in the middle of Phase 2 of his “Its Almost Dry Tour” last week. On Wednesday night, he invaded the doors of the Capitol City’s hottest venue, The Concourse Project, to welcome their first hip-hop event, which became another successful night for them. The evening was a memorable experience from enduring the prominent performance of IDK, Just Blaze & Pusha T, including those who were in attendance to see the legendary night go down.
The show started with on sonically hip-hop atmosphere beginning with a DJ set from Waves On Brand owns Skrechy Skrach before the opening performer of the night, IDK, bought an intense performance to the stage mentioning his previous interaction in Austin where the crowd always goes hard for him and hopes to be back on his own tour in the future. Before King Push took the stage, legendary producer Just Blaze got behind the 1s & 2s to perform an incredible set, playing hit after hit and making his eminent catalog present in the venue. Last but not least, Pusha T made his way out in stunning fashion and had his appearance be known with fan-favorite records performed like “If You Know You Know,” “Diet Coke,” Numbers On The Board,” “Nostalgia,” & more to leave the night pushing for his latest album “It’s Almost Dry” to be solidified as the album of the year. We’ve been going heavy with shows these last few months but got to say, seeing Pusha T, who floated along the stage in vigorous efforts throughout his set, could also have a tour of the year sewn up as well. The people in attendance almost blew the roof off the venue with excitement to see King Push again conquer.
From the album of the year contender to Rolling Stone cover, Pusha T is on track to exit 2022 with another successful year under his belt. He’s been pushing weight in success through business moves and moving packs of his music to the fiend of listeners who yearn for the hip-hop sound that’s been missing. Pusha T turns drug dealing conversations into lyrical scriptures in his art, and ain’t no one comes close to perfecting this type of blueprint. We wish for King Push, IDK & Just Blaze to continue their road on tour in a safe and productive environment and hope to see them back in Texas in the new year. Also, a major shoutout to the good people at The Concourse Project for holding the fort backstage and making us feel welcome; I can’t wait to see what more they got under their sleeve for the next hip-hop event.
