Deezy Da Duce feat Bun B - Cold Case (Single)

Social media is a crazy place sometimes; one minute, you're looking at Godzilla vs. King Kong breakdown theories, and then the next minute, you're being introduced to a new artist whose recent release is featuring the Trill OG. Off first listen of the track, he sets the pace to a vicious rhyme scheme emerging on the scene with Bun's esteem status to devour a record with a nonchalant demeanor. I'm speaking about Beaumont native Deezy Da Duce 2020 single titled "Cold Case" that recently got the visuals treatment directed by DIOS owner & prominent figure in the industry, Jorge Casanova. The track features Bun B delivering a minacious brigade of raps that balance well with Deezy's diabolical wordplays that terrorize the weak-hearted emcees to stay deep in the shadows. At the same time, these lyrical tyrants can roam through the concrete jungles of Texas.

Back in his element and on to some better shit, Deezy is seizing the opportunity to let off the cannon with his barbarous wordplays that are monstrous since they come with verbals threat where he's keeping his opps on his mind but only to know which ones he's picking off first. Call the doctor, lawyer, or a reverend since your going to need it if your in his line of fire or his scope. He needs no army to haunt you and take your life if it's necessary, so don't test his patience, or it's you in the trunk of his car like Billy Bats bout to be buried in the woods by your lonesome. His verse is sanguinary in the matter that he wants to be the one to put you in a dirt nap, and he has Bun B to assist him with the workload since Bun has bodies of his own that need digging. Fuck with the OG and end on your back; Bun B speaking at your eulogy sounds a bit like his verse on the record. He maliciously wants to end you where you stand, and his aggressive intent to let you know it makes him an even bigger problem that you don't want, so it's best to recognize the trillest in your presence and keep the peace. I've heard Bun on many tracks in my lifetime, but this Chase Racc$ produce single may be the most belligerent I've listened to from him, and I'm a fan of it. He does what he preaches, and this sign of Bun B is haunting rappers in their nightmares and out in the streets, which is a scary sight. I think the trenchant style of Deezy bought that out of him, so it's good to see an upcoming talent bring out that kind of fire to an OG, and I'm glad for the experience to hear it and see it when I did since I know it's only up from here for Deezy.

I've got to peep some of Deezy content when I was writing this post, and I'm impressed with his catalog and got to hear this sound, including numerous others, which is no surprise since from his caliber on this record he's showing he's broadening in his musical growth. I hope to see a follow-up soon, but in the meantime, we'll push others to get introduced to his track by checking out both the single & visual here while sharing them both on all social media platforms.
