Jackson Marshall - Fall (Single)
Vibrantly resounding for the summer and clemently in spirit for autumn, “Fall”, the latest single from the Texas alternative/indie song-writer Jackson Marshall is an arranged dive into a musing day dream and a composition written from self-reflection.
On “Fall”, Marshall behooves an understanding to being at fault for pushing someone away and realizing making amends could be little too late. The first verse is a solitary reflection of questions that are met with absent responses leaving nothing to fall on but the sole thought of wondering if the person opposite still cares. “Was you searching when I wasn't found? Would you care if I wasn’t around?” Coherently as the song progresses, the writing portrays development in character with the acceptance of taking accountability and understanding of his wrong-doing while remaining under the impending cloud of gloom on the latter verse and chorus.“Sometimes I see the signs, I keep you close inside my mind”.
Even when considering the despairing resonance in the writing there is still a very optimistic nature to this song with the self-reflection and spirit of ambition delivered by the end of the song. The direct and telling single “Fall” is the unfortunate doing one can cause and the growth that can come with the sacrifice of letting someone walk-on without you in order to save them. The synth and gazey single can be streamed on all music streaming platforms and can be heard live on tour on a handful of dates in the coming month.
