Slim Biggie Tha Mack feat SoSanAntone, Tyni Toon, PCdakyd, Black Mexico, AMB EZ & FLU - Jump (Video)
I enjoy a great cypher, and it’s been a long time since one came my way and had me making faces like Jay-Z in the studio with Timberland, but thanks to my brother Jay Ross from Viewz Media Group, he sent us an entry that has me making that face currently. Sampling Kriss Kross's 1992 hit, “Jump”, Almari beats cooked up something means for some of the most notorious lyricists to collab on and bring forth a cypher naming it after the titular sample, which is perfect since each emcee practically has you jumping out your seats when they get to rapping. The elite enlisted for the cypher brought together by Slim Biggie Tha Mack are SoSanAntone, Tyni Toon, PCdakyd, Black Mexico, AMB EZ & FLU, who stepped up on the scene in prestigious fashion and impeccable performance, undoubtedly making the concrete in the city crumble at their feet.
There’s usually a problem with cyphers: you have instances where you can only single out one rapper because he killed the beat on arrival, and everyone else just didn’t come with it, but in this cypher, you can’t do that; everyone bought something to the table and feasted in the most monstrous manner. I’m not sure that beat is still breathing at this point; we might have to have a virtual funeral where its tombstone will read; it never stood a chance. Almari beats designed something with style and knock, which hit with insane precision whenever you get to viewing the Kennywiththeshots-visual, where each artist reigns supreme in their respective style. Coming in clutch and taking off at full speed, no one held back their strengths, showing prominent force to come with it and showed no weakness. Each had highlighted lines & moments where it might be days for me to feel comfortable dissecting each verse; again, it’s hard to nitpick greatness. This will start a chain reaction, guaranteeing a group of artists are saying that they can outdo them (yeah, right), but it’s not called the rap game for a reason; they can try, but will they succeed? Probably not, but hey, they're bringing attention to the cause, then the next group of rappers will attempt, and another set and another, an endless cycle which I’m hoping helps raise y’all’s bars up because you’re going need the ghost of Christopher Wallace in your cypher to come anywhere close to theirs. But let’s not remove what these lyrical tyrants have offered here in this release; we should learn to appreciate and support talent like this. They’ve awoken your favorites to step their game up and provided another reason why you shouldn’t count them out as culture movers in the city while they make some fans in the process.
Support and show these artists their deserved props, the producer for going hard in the paint, and the videographer for capturing an immaculate viewing. It's your time to shine, San Antonio. These representatives of the city did their thing in hopes you listen and watch, so run up those plays & views; I definitely would like to see the visual at 10K or more by next week.
