Wiardon - Road Music (Album)
Explaining how an album has a meaningful impact in both its production & its rapping sums up the latest magnum opus from Wiardon titled “Road Music.” Introduced to us by QNTM, we’ve grown fond of the music curated by Wiardon in the last few years, where he’s been perfecting his superior sound with a lasting effect that makes his name more widely known, especially by pulling off such a prominent piece here. Production is all handled by Wiardon, who showcases his ability to take on two significant roles and make them look easy in the process; he is gifted to the core and lets it be known in his prominent music.
Opening up the album is the record titled “Reloaded,” where Wiardon sampled the production from J. Cole’s “Bun B For President” and constructed it to his liking, and explodes dominantly with his impeccable cadence that provides multiple opportunities for you to see more of it throughout the project. Take the following record, “Focused”; it ain’t just the title of the record but the exact plan of attack on the production. Swerving through the drums and kicks to make out an impressive dash with the raps, Wiardon is continuing a streak to put everything in his wordplays and have the listeners shaken up with the intensity of it. Many standout tracks with the title names for them being superb; I think it’s safe to say that there are a few hit singles titled “Johnny Dang” out right now, but Wiardon might have the crown for the best one. The track lights up like the mouth & neck of the Houston jeweler; Wiardon doesn’t lose an ounce of energy in the track; he only builds more to his aura. Bits and pieces of Al-D’s “One Life To Live” touched up the production that is already giving you Texas vibes right out the gate, and adding Wiardon's vigorous nature to the mix only gives you that late-night, sliding-on candy paint with the fifth wheel hanging type of affect that indeed sets the mood for your listening experience. Wiardon’s immaculate nature for rapping with such illustrious essence is flourishing properly here; there are many tracks to single out. Still, when bunched together, it’s a project you can hear from start to finish with no skips. “Tank Vs Garcia” is a top contender for track of the year for me, shit is hitting hard like a body shot in the seventh round, “Randy Moss” is feeling like you just completed 3 catches for 163 yards to score three touchdowns and as a cowboys fans that hurtful for me to feel. Wiardon is making history with the album, something for everyone to feel inspired by; I know I am, so let’s wake up those sleeping on the giant and notice when real music is present in the game.
Wiardon is basking in the success of the album’s release and is already looking for requests on what record from the project gets a visual treatment. I would love to see a video for “Tank Vs. Garcia” or even “Focused” makes it way out; I could only imagine the vision of creativity between Wiardon & QTMN on those two releases. However we would just be excited to see what he chooses and the finish product, but in the meantime we recommend if you haven’t had a chance to bump this album yet, then you do so immediately and put someone new on to it and change their life.
