Matthew Jordan - Coming Home Soon (Album)

From “Forever Player” to feeling the “Rain,” Matthew Jordan has always kept it real with his music, and now he pens his latest story in 8-records to explain that he’ll be “Coming Home Soon.” We’ve been seeing him in close proximity with Banco these last few months, appearing during stage performances and features, anticipating when music of his own would be dropping. It's safe to say the time is now, where he dropped what I think is an underrated gem for so many reasons; best believe me when I say it, if they aren’t noticing now, they will soon enough.

Laid back with bravado in his tone & an eminent selection for production, Matthew Jordan is serenading hits on the project. Starting from the very descriptive intro, “lil RNB Song,” he curates a series of lascivious vibes throughout the ballad, which definitely sets the tone in the other tracks but hitting you full force with it in the intro only keeps you at the edge of your seat waiting for the many surprises he has in store. Take the following record, “Expresso On Her Gucci,” which is a highlight of the project solely because it combines his sensational style from the last record and moves it up a notch for your listening pleasure to catch you with an exhurbrent rush. The album is full of those jams that will get the bedroom rocking, the moment for intimacy can be helped with tuning in to some of the wanton sounds of Matthew Jordan. I couldn’t leave the review without tackling the Banco-featured record “On The Block,” which is unique in its own way. The record is full of charisma especially with the infectious chorus. Banco begins rapping in production that’s outside of his element but still whips up a nice heap up fixings to feast on, while Matthew Jordan takes it away with some lyricism of his own before concluding it with the hook. The album is something not made for the morning or afternoon; it’s for the nighttime, the evenings with someone special on your mind, the person who got away, the one person you convince yourself you don’t need anymore, but it’s the opposite. It’s for those passionate about their companion, those that seek shelter with someone & those making a safe place to call home. Matthew Jordan created something spectacular with this project, and the volume of the album speaks for itself.

During the album’s run, Matthew Jordan decided to release a visual of his record “Slide,” which is beginning to gain traction in the views. I’m expecting both releases to start seeing their fair shares of plays and looks in the upcoming weeks & I hope to get an opportunity to see some of these tracks performed live. In the meantime, we highly recommend you check out the album here while sharing it around on all social media avenues.
