K$ The Kid - Lift Our Hands (Single)

Coming out across our Twitter feed during the weekend, I saw an artist that, off a quick glimpse, he reminded me of Mac Miller. While it’s not far-fetched, especially how close they sound and lookalike, it did, however, give me a proper introduction to 17-year-old Maryland native K$ The Kid’s latest release titled “Lift Our Hands,” which I still couldn’t help myself to continue comparing the late great Pittsburgh emcee to this new up & comer. A kid with an attitude to prove in multiple lines of latitude that he’s a spark of new energy that hip-hop is missing, I’m already a fan of the joyous nature the record brings along with the dope visual to bring together a proper presentation of Maryland's own K$ The Kid.

The flow is too tough for you to step up to; K$ doesn’t lose an ounce of momentum in the record where once he gets to spitting, there isn’t no stopping him. It’s a laid-back sound with laughs & positivity in the mix, something to enjoy with a breeze blowing through your city or in a creative space looking for inspiration. Me, hailing from the great state of Texas, I have to give credit where credit is due and K$ mentioning Port Arthur legend Chad Butler in his rhyme got me sold that his reach is insane and he’s knowledgeable in all realms of the art, being just only seventeen. I love the fact he mentions the dope shit he’s dropping is just like Mac; it only proves more that the resemblance is uncanny but also that he’s making a name for himself using the inspiration that helped him pick up a pen and get to creating.

While researching his catalog, I saw he dropped a project back in 2022 featuring some familiar names we’ve come across and that this release is his second track of the year. I’m excited to see more from K$, and I hope this helps our fanbase become familiar with his music ASAP. Check it out here, and make sure to share it around on all social media avenues.
