SUNNIE - These Days (Video)

Usually, I start these reviews by mentioning how I found a specific new release, which I’m very good at remembering, but somehow, I can’t remember how this came across my way, nor do I question it since I feel like it came from a higher power due to how lovely this joint is. New Jersey native SUNNIE’s enchanting release, "These Days," gracefully introduced us to her angelic voice and ethereal sound. The magnetic quality of her music, coupled with a captivating visual, swiftly won over our hearts and ears instantly. The mystery of her discovery only adds to the enchantment, leaving a profound impact that feels almost destined. The record was initially released off her album, “Bloom,” which dropped back in May but has found itself back in talks due to the visual striking with an array of beauty and harmony to capture a soft-spoken essence to new fans to be welcomed in her celestial presence.

The production slowly walks into this feeling of hurt and pain where SUNNIE begins to unravel her tale of woes dealing with an ex-love interest that led a life of deception and guilt with hopes of winning her love back. Keep everything you have to say to yourself because she’s not listening anymore; she took your words with truth but ended up with lies in return and is not ready to forgive so easily. Sunnie speaks on not shedding any more tears for you; those days are over, even when you wish for a different outcome, she could care less. SUNNIE speaks from the heart that she knows what she wants, and she can’t get them for you anymore; no matter how sorry you are, she relives the pain again, which you can hear in her voice, and yet still, it sounds so lovely. However, the burden of you still lingers when you hear the emotional impact in her tone to let the listeners hear her soul. An uptake of poetry in motion as the tempo moves in a luminous cadence, creating an extraordinary experience to listen to her heartfelt expression. The visual perfectly interprets her letting you go; the black balloons that loom over her are now in the sky, almost like the record is a eulogy to dead this somber moment out of her mind while she parades in her world that is fitting back to her peace and tranquil state.

Again, I’m excited to have found this record and anticipate seeing what is next from SUNNIE. Just know we will be close by supporting it in hopes of continuing to introduce our fanbase to her music. We highly recommend you take some time to enjoy this latest release from SUNNIE and make sure to share it on all social media avenues.
