Dreamiecloud - Gimmie (Video)
Last week, Dreamiecloud dropped her first ever music video to her May-released record, “Gimmie,” which has her in a pink-themed toy store that’s fitting her kawaii style to a T. She’s seen in wardrobes we’ve talked about before wondering if this would lead to a project or possibly a visual which it looks like we have our answer now. The record was already such a sensational pop jam due to the feverous ability of the chorus & now being accompanied by a video to go along with it makes it an even more elegant release for Dreamiecloud to see new fans come her way.
“Your love is my love, my love is yours” is sung in beauteous harmony that begins this ballad where you enter the doors of a toy store and see Dreamiecloud is locked away in a box, wanting to get out. Her outfits for the visuals are part of her signature look: cute, fun & enchanting where it fits the viewing background, whether it be a neon rainbow or in the cut with lego figures & clouds. Thinking about you all the time, Dreamiecloud is beginning to feel addicted to you, and she needs more of you to survive. All of your love is destined to be hers, and you know it; she sings & dances around this video for it, parading her adorable self for you to see that your love is her cure. I always loved the breakdown towards the end, where it loses the pop feel for a split minute to a more grunge sound before exiting us out of the record. One of the most prominent highlights of the whole release is giving us an inside look into the mind of Dreamiecloud; there’s a reason this is her first ever video, and that’s because she wanted to perfect the way we see her world. Pink, appealing, and full of life are how we see it, and I’m looking forward to seeing more about her world in future visual endeavors.
Dreamiecloud has been working hard behind the scenes, from her recent signing with GGT to a recent preview of an upcoming record with J Allan with no release date right now.
