Da YoungFellaz - ATM (Video)

I recently got put on to NY-based duo Da YoungFellaz by way of introduction from Mazi of Mazi’s World podcast, who had shown me the visual to their February single “Syrup.” I became revered of their star-studded sound and ability to construct a down south aesthetic that transitions over well to their east coast flow where it showcases just how far their range is when it comes to music. Since then, I waited patiently to get the opportunity to post a new release from them on the site so we could follow suit in getting our viewership introduced to them, and to our surprise, during the weekend, we would be getting that chance. Da Youngfellaz dropped a new video on Saturday titled “ATM” that heavily sampled Aaliyah’s “Are You That Somebody.” I wouldn’t be doing this drop justice if I didn’t mention that this was one of the most infectious choruses that made the track stand out while receiving two dope verses from Sho-Biz & Jay Storm, which will surely be a great start in getting familiar with their elite styles. 

Catch Jay Storm in the place to be with the gang; who that? Oh, that’s New Rich; if you don’t know, now you do. He’s seated with a dime piece on a lime green couch, flexing out his pimping in an immaculate draw where he spits about the women he’s getting, the paper he’s seeing, and the fact that he’s one of a kind, so to see him out of your life is colossal L on your behalf. Both these artists want to know a shorty at the lobby of the Ritz, and Sho-Biz is letting you know beforehand your girl is already touching all over him for the evening, so he’s going to hit; he’s just giving you a courtesy call. You should’ve known not to let your lady around him; it’s evident that he’s not just anybody. A voluptuous lady in lingerie takes over his background space as Sho-Biz provides a bit of melody to his flow that extends gracefully like his words are walking over water. Put this all together, and you got one monumental release and possibly my new favorite track of April. 

I already see support and praise over on their Instagram page and YouTube comments, so it’s safe to say they got another hit here on their hands that will surely see new fans and listeners gravitate in the next upcoming days. We’ll be keeping them on the radar for future releases and hope to see another release like this in the near future.
