2:13 - Down (Single)

Throughout April, Instagram ads have been coming in so clutch for us to be introduced to new artists. The most recent introduction to an artist came during the weekend when I heard Dallas songstress 2:13 by way of her 2021 single “Down.” I became mesmerized with this beautifully sung ballad wrapped around this R&B groove that sounds like something you would’ve heard back in the ’90s but is conveyed gradually to fit in this generation. I also saw that a video accompanied the release to deliver a raw emotion of intimacy and passion in a single that I just had to share for our viewership to be struck in awe like we were. 

2:13 begins her intimate tale of wanting to lay you down for the evening; she understands your day has been rough and wants to make it all better. She isn’t like them, other females, only here for one thing, then dip, you're going to learn when you have her that she’s one in a million and will hold you down forever if you let her. She grips & holds you close like it’s the last time she’ll ever feel your touch, and she’s hoping it isn’t; let her bring out your wildest fantasies to show you she’s genuinely the realest. 2:13 is allowing her soul to sing on this joint, providing a sensational effect throughout the record from expressing her heavenly vocals while also creating this wild sense of rhythm to her voice when she speaks on her bedroom activities being the very best he’s ever had. The video has her sharing her alluring side while she's draped over in bed and against the wall thinking of those erotic moments she’s had with you; it feels like a personal viewing meant for that one person to see how she urns your loving and can’t wait to have you back in her presence. It’s truly a release we adore from beginning to end that we think sparks a connection to put you in a trance with her craft once you listen to her angelic sound.

I see that since her single release, she has dropped two additional tracks that are just as amazing as this one. I hope we can start seeing more of her music comes our way in the near future while seeing a fanbase grow for her art.
