King Khali & Eastside Fish - The Grinch (Video)

The Tree Team is the coolest team there is, I mean, these gentlemen released an EP back in December of 2021, consisting of 6 Christmas jingles but with that unique spin on each. One of the standout records on there was the opener titled “The Grinch”. Now, I’m usually not a fan of people remaking classic films but I gotta say, Khali really gives Jim Carrey a run for his money with his twisted take on the green furred goblin & definitely shits all over Benedict Cumberbatch’s 2018 adaptation of the character, whilst paying homage to the 1966 original. Khali such a goon, literally & lyrically, that even without a verse from him, his hook here is just bar after bar of hoodlum & hooligan esque tom foolery to really bring a damper on your Christmas. Although it’s past, make sure you come back to this next go around.

As Big Beautiful Williams gathers all the kiddies around the fireplace to tell the tall tale of the one they call the Grinch, you can already feel the terror growing in their hearts. Even jolly ol Cindy Lou Who isn’t as curious as we’ve known her to be. I’m not even sure she can convince this rendition of the Grinch to come celebrate Christmas with all the Who’s in Whoville. You know once Khali pulls that ski mask over his face that it’s jugg season & with his trusted partner in crime Max, portrayed by the dog we all know as Fish, ironically so, the two venture on down from their solitary life atop Mount Crumpit to bring their scheming down to the unsuspecting Who’s sleeping jovially with dreams of awakening to lots of gifts but boy are they in for a rude awakening.

Khali’s grin is a lot more menacing than the original & not only that, he’s pulling up with the shotty in his sleigh as well. You gotta appreciate how he ties in the gun bars with the Christmas theme. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the Grinch paid Martha MayWho a visit, that’s the only milf & cookies this Santa Claus will be interested in. Directed by Sage himself, the visuals here take a simplistically fun approach & in case your kids wish to sing along to some real Christmas carols, you got the bouncing Grinch head to guide them along the subtitles. The best part of the visuals is this quick shot of the Grinch with his signature grin besides the milk & cookies, hilarious. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals. And a happy new year!
