98Priest feat Reek - Win Pt. 3 (Video)

The third installment in 98Priest’s “Win” series might just be the best one yet. It’s been a long time coming for this champion as he continues to exceed all expectations bestowed upon him. Priest has always taking the time necessary to give us only the highest quality music & it’s about time we give him his flowers. If you were able to tune in to the live broadcast of the very 1st annual Timeless Music Awards then you already know it was a celebratory event for the books! Hosted by none other than the almighty Reek, 1/2 of Reek & Sage, fans were shedding god tears over these God tier level MC’s, even making the better angels of their nature weep with this angelic number. Directed by the man himself & shot by another God in Trent Owens, I been told you he’s behind all the best visuals, it’s the perfect gift to end another monumental year for these gentlemen.

Can we talk about the amount of soul exuded throughout this ThrowedMind production cause my God is it soulfully soaring, so much so that only these two could’ve have blessed it with the energy needed. Whoever had the audacity to say Reek has lost a single step in his emotional musical journey has clearly not been paying attention to the many wins he & his team have secured throughout the year. It seems his game has only gotten more on point the more he consistently continues to push the sport ahead of it’s time. Rather than complain about the state of things, like most artists, fans tend to do, he simply became the change that he wanted to see & as a result, we can rest peacefully at night knowing that the culture moving forward is in safe & capable hands. He’s already won too many trophies to count so it’s nice to see him finally have the opportunity hand a few out to those deserving of it. Still, even with all the championships won, I feel Reek doesn’t get as much respect as he deserves for his unfaltering skills as a lyricist. He’s only gotten more sharper with each stroke of his pen!

98Priest is then called up to the podium to accept his award & to give his acceptance speech & it just may be one of the most honest speeches we’ve ever heard. He doesn’t treat his success as if it’s solely his own. Winning this award is a win for his people as well cause what’s the point of all of it if he can’t bring his loved ones along with him? He’s not fretting over those who ain’t believed in him cause he’s well aware that once they finally do see, usually only in hopes to benefit from it in some way, they won’t even get to sit the bench, they just getting sent home & with no pay at that. They could never understand the level of grit & sacrifice it’s taken for him to reach this juncture in his life & career & certainly don’t have what it takes to put in the necessary work to maintain it all. They can just cry home to mommy cause what they need to understand is that you got losers & winners & in the big leagues, there’s no such thing as participation trophies.
