Bo Bundy - Tourin’ TX (Video)
A while back, Bo Bundy had expressed the desire of wanting to dip into every genre of music, which we’ve seen him already enter into the Rock N Roll sound on his feature with Giovannie & The Hired Guns’s hit single “Ramon Ayala.” He even shared a clip of a hardcore version of Hombres G’s “Devuelveme A Mi Chica,” slated to be on his next album, with it sounding very promising. So it’s safe to say that Bo Bundy is following his aspirations with these latest drops and succeeding, especially on his newest release, where he headed out west to find a little more twang in his step. Before the end of October, Bo Bundy shared a country-style record titled “Tourin’ TX” that I had to say had all the mechanics of being a Western swing with some of Bo Bundy’s eccentric character added to the mix. Think of a swanging in the lanes, double cup in the driver seat with you wearing a cowboy hat and the spurs boots to match; then you got yourself rocking to one of Bo Bundy’s southern joints that I can say I was blown away by its infectious production.
I’m sure a lot of people assumed this would be a parody of a country record, which I’m not going to lie, it does have a bit of some comical elements, so I could see why many would think that, but the storytelling is on par with a lot of country tunes which I think Bo Bundy pretty much hit the nail on the head with getting the right effect for this to come off as genuine to existing and new listeners of his. Of course, this wouldn’t be a Bo Bundy theatric without having the directional work of Barf behind the lens to follow Bo on his journey to cities in Texas for what looks like to be an enjoyable trip. From being posted at the World’s Fair in Dallas to Remembering The Alamo in San Antonio to taking a shot on stage with Koe Wetzel, Bo Bundy is seen with smiles and good vibes anywhere he goes. Other photos show him in Austin, Marfa, Lubbock & other surrounding cities in Texas, sporting his Mala Vida gear wherever he roams. The track is so catchy and full of joyous occasions throughout that you can play this for just about anyone, and there’ll get an excellent feel for the release. Hell, I had the pleasure of receiving this joint early and convinced my mother-in-law that this was Kenny Chesney's newest track; even when I told her the truth later on, she still adored the record because of the vibe it gave out. Bo Bundy succeeded in stepping into a sound he enjoys listening to outside of recording music and created something extraordinary for the genre. Take this as inspiration that he moved away briefly from raps and cumbias to doing something out of his norm, it just shows how versatile he is when it comes to his artistry; he’s not a one-trick pony like most artists. He’s a man of many talents, and I think his next album titled, “The Lonestar” will showcase that a lot more.
I know Bo has an enjoyable release on his hands with this latest drop, and I can only imagine what more he has in store for us once his album drops. We know firsthand there is a lot of exciting content on the way from him, and we don’t want to spoil anything, so we recommend staying close by on his social media accounts for any upcoming announcements. In the meantime, we recommend running up the views on this latest release and sharing it on all social media avenues.
