Brionne - Potent (Video)

A new release from Brionne came at the end of July. She gives another record off her highly accomplished "Donatella" album the visual treatment where this fan-favorite drop is onward to be at 1K views and higher by the end of August. "Potent" is the record which is exactly what she's spitting here. The production is slow yet melodic, like the upbeat tick of a bomb about to burst. Brionne set the stage of starting out viciously in a poetry setting that engulfs with her insane delivery to be a menace behind the mic while looking glamorous in the process.

The rhyme slaying queen doesn't take any time to start loading up the lyrical choppa when she's providing the smoke for anybody that wants it. The other smoke is in her session while she gets high to clear her mind of the jealousy and hate she's seen recently from the opposition. Savagely just picking apart the Johnson, Hawkins, Tatum & Durr sample, Brionne is talking her shit and doing it in such an illustrious manner. She speaks nothing but the realness and doing it in a way she knows how by venting it all on the mic. She's seen under the light in a fur coat and on stage in a dress with all eyes staring at her, no matter the look or the place, you're always going to get the best of her, and there's no question that we got that here.

The record was already a favorite of mine when I first got hooked on the album, and now with the visual being released, I think it takes the first place spot. I'm always happy to see new content from Brionne drop and can't wait to see what more she has in store for the future.
