Jay Fade - Nayomi (Single)
Jay Fade is an artist I can't say I'm familiar with, but I am glad it hit my radar, especially with this futuristic sound he has going on here. It's coupled with his concise yet straightforward storytelling; he's living a simple life, it seems, but it's evident in his mind that he's on his seventh Heaven. He has some time to fuck the backseat up, but ultimately, he has bills on due, so he can't stick around for too long. He's got to zip on out of here, so hopefully, you got somewhere to go & stay cause you can't tag along. You'd only get in the way, but when time permits, he can make the pitstop.
His approach to this instrumental is as warped as the actual production is; it's like he's zig-zagging through the flow exhibited here. There's this soul-like tone to it, but it's rather groovy as well & the futuristic sound of it makes it feel alternative, ultimately just making the listener feel good. I bet his whip is the one from "Back To The Future," he rhymes just zipping through the galaxy, swishing each shot he shoots on here like a globetrotter. The lyricism will take you into a whole other dimension when the probing starts occurring in the backseat.
I feel like a fool for sleeping cause I've never heard of his collective $HA WORLDWIDE, but I will definitely be doing my research after this, "Nayomi" is a lucky girl to be with someone killing shit as swiftly as he is. He has to be where her infatuation spawned from; the sound is too irresistible to deny. He's got the flow, the voice & the charisma, carrying himself like a golden god, the king of his own ship, just gotta give him space when he needs it to do his thing. You aren't the only priority for him; he's in too deep, forever on the go & she does; she holds it down for him when he's gone. Therefore, the backseat will be getting fucked up when he comes back around.
