Bankreaux - Freekill (EP)
Bankreaux's rollout to his upcoming sophomore album is getting crazier; he's already released enough record to hold us over for the next few months with his Bank Vault release. He has plenty of visuals, plus ones that are lined up to drop that he can create an entire viewing with, and still, he decided to give us more music on top of the blessings he's already dropped.
#FreeKill is his latest project that has been bestowed on his listeners and quite possibly the most important piece of recent content since I think it gives subtle hints on what we can expect to hear from his anticipated album. This project takes us through Bankreaux's time during his album creation process. There are plenty of freestyles on the project, which could be him letting off some steam on well-known beats like Monleo's "Beating Down Yo Block or Mooksi's "Track Star" while then tackling a record off the album. Other records off the tape like "Trappin Still" with labelmate Cory Kendrix is just a dynamic release with the way they go bar for bar with their potent velocity to float on the beat with such ease. I think this could be Bankreaux's way of asking if you all fuck with this? Meaning he could be giving us a hint that his first single with be with KNDRX. "Viral Moment" is such a vibrant record and one that we don't see many from Bankreaux as much. He shares the importance of fatherhood with this recent single and why he's left his old way, which I think gives off a huge description of his next project. Bankreaxu had had many achievements since "Love Hate," and bringing life to this world is a major accomplishment for him. He doesn't want to do anything to mess this up, and being a product of the street life, he knows the possible directions that are ahead for his kin. He thinks about these things daily and understands that it would be a repeated cycle of his life if he's not there for him. He wants better for him the life he didn't have, and he's bound to make the necessary sacrifices to have it completed. He's painted a canvas throughout the project of what's to expect from him in the future. You might get bangers like the Joey Maurice-assisted joint or the lyrical angst of tracks like his Big Prr Freestyle, but I mostly will get some venting records showing the growth from "Love Hate" to his new endeavors in life.
I enjoy Bankreaux music very much since it's so versatile; you don't know what you're going to end up with, but what is a guarantee is that he's putting it all on the line with his music and carrying the city high up in the process. Like many others, I'm anticipating the release of his upcoming album, and I know from this project alone that it won't disappoint. Much love to Bankreaux and his team; we wish them all many more blessings in their journey. Be sure to check out the project here while sharing it around on all social media avenues.
