Vermin The Villain x BLCK.BEETL - Mask_002 (Video)
Still pulling out surprises with his prized album “Prototype_V,” Vermin The Villain released another visual treatment from the project by linking once again with Father Wasp behind the lens for the directorial video for “Mask_002”. The black and white setting gives the eerie notion that we’re about to see the madness in the form of a musical sonata come alive. The record was already a haunting look into the mind of Verm, but now with having a clear look into the psyche of the masked tyrant, you might see him appear in your nightmare, terrorizing your inner sanity.
Earth on fire causes mad hysteria in the vicinity where Vermin takes you down a path through his wicked rap styles. I very much enjoy his introduction to records since it sounds like he bum rushes the show and holds the jewels of the attendees as hostages while taking off with the rest of the loot in the midnight sky. Such a 90s description to showcase Verm, but it feels right since I know he’s heavily inspired by the DJ cuts, breakdancing, and the raps of the era. You can hear its innovations in this track alone and with the help of BLCK.BEETL production, he sets it up in a format that doesn’t feel outdated but on sight to the future plains to get his point across. He’s a prodigy of 90’s Hip-Hop with this generation gift to be blessed with an abundance of knowledge to make words aligned so godly that you can’t look away but stand in awe like an explosion detonating right before your very eyes.
Lord V is thrashing wack rappers with sick, sordid rhymes.
Lord V is striking lines on raps with venomous intake.
Lord V is strategically taking over the world like Victor Vom Doom.
Diabolically setting the mic ablaze, Verm begins his hostile takeover in disguise, with the weaponry drawn on all those who oppose his victorious reign. If you aren’t on board to join, get lost in the dust when the bombs go off, and humanity is gone from existence.
The masked villain creeps out of the chaos-driven world to ignite the flame that was once set off by his piece de resistance back in 2020. The album still holds a flame among listeners to the hip-hop genre as being of the most devises project seen by an artist with such lyrical agony that will be a substantial push forward to the underground scene. Both Wasp & Verm share a combined insignia at the end of the video, with a date that could be the release for their anticipated collab project. We’ve already heard two tracks from them, one previewed at their Wong’s Bodega performance and one back in May, so I would be on the lookout for next week to see if we can get some announcement of the collab project surfacing. Until then, be sure to check out the latest visual from Lord V here while running up the views.
